Climatic tests: temperature and humidity tests for your products

Climatic tests at the company Sertika

Why are climate tests necessary?

Climatic testing is an important process that allows companies to assess the reliability and durability of their products in various environmental conditions. The company Sertika offers a high-quality climatic chamber that is adapted to perform various climatic tests.

Sertika climate chamber parameters

Temperature range:

  • From -40 ˚C to 180 ˚C

Relative humidity:

  • Up to 98%

These parameters allow for a wide range of tests that can help determine the product's resistance to extremes of temperature and humidity. This is especially important in electronics, the automotive industry, construction and other areas where products are often exposed to various climatic conditions.

Climatic Test Types

  1. Constant Temperature and Humidity Tests:

    • These tests are carried out at constant temperature and humidity to check how the product performs under certain conditions. For example, electronic devices may be tested at 85˚C and 85% relative humidity to assess their resistance to heat and humidity.
  2. Cyclic Climatic Tests:

    • These are tests where temperature and humidity are cycled, simulating real-world conditions that the product may encounter. For example, a product can be tested at temperatures from -40˚C to 180˚C and humidity from 20% to 98% to determine its resistance to thermal and humidity stress.
  3. Shock Tests:

    • These tests include sudden changes in temperature to assess how the product reacts to rapid changes in environmental conditions. For example, the product can be suddenly transferred from -40 ˚C to 180 ˚C and vice versa.

Benefits and adaptation

Ensuring reliability:

  • Climatic testing helps ensure that products meet high reliability standards and are resistant to various environmental conditions.

Quality control:

  • These tests can detect and eliminate potential defects at an early stage of production, thus preventing costly mistakes in the future.

Compliance with regulations:

  • Many industries have strict regulations and standards that must be followed. Climate testing helps companies meet these requirements.

International climatic test standards

IEC 60068 - International Electrotechnical Commission standard for testing under various environmental conditions.

  • IEC 60068-2-1: Test A - Cold.
  • IEC 60068-2-2: Test B - Dry heat.
  • IEC 60068-2-14: Test N - Change in temperature.
  • IEC 60068-2-30: Test Db - Humidity cycling test (25/55 ˚C, 93% relative humidity).
We also perform tests according to other standards

The Sertika testing laboratory can perform IK code testing in the non-accredited area according to the selected standard.

Do you have questions about product safety testing and/or certification?

We kindly invite you to contact us using the following contacts:

In order for us to submit a proposal for certification, the initial information required for the application is:

  1. technical documentation of the device;
  2. a precise description of the intended functions of the device;
  3. what standard of certification/testing do you prefer?
  4. how long and when do you want SERTIKA conformity assessment results?

If you are considering product testing or certification, you may benefit from:
